Quartz Conductive Global Dome (also known as Edge-Conductive Quartz Dome)

It is a high-performance optical component integrating optical protection and electrostatic/electromagnetic shielding functions.

I. Core Features

Excellent Optical Performance

  • High transmittance: Transmittance exceeds 90% in the UV, visible to near-infrared (~2650 nm) bands, ensuring clear imaging and non-attenuated signals.

  • Low dispersion & low stress: Minimal optical distortion, suitable for high-precision detection and imaging systems.

Unique Conductive/Antistatic Function

  • Edge conductivity: The metallic film on the edge can be grounded to discharge static electricity rapidly, preventing electrostatic breakdown of sensitive chips and dust adhesion.

  • Electromagnetic shielding: Blocks external electromagnetic interference to a certain extent, ensuring stable operation of electronic systems.

Outstanding Environmental Resistance

  • High temperature resistance: Softening point at approximately 1730℃, suitable for long-term use at 1100℃.

  • Strong thermal stability: Extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion, excellent thermal shock resistance (no cracking under rapid heating or cooling).

  • Corrosion resistance: Resistant to acids, alkalis, moisture and weathering, ideal for harsh environments such as outdoor and deep-sea applications.

III. Differences from Ordinary Quartz Domes

  • Ordinary quartz dome: Only provides optical protection and environmental isolation; it is insulating and non-conductive, prone to static accumulation and electromagnetic interference.

  • Quartz conductive global dome: Conductive coating on the edge, combining optical protection, antistatic and electromagnetic shielding functions, suitable for high-precision and high-reliability electro-optical systems.
