The design and manufacturing of this objective lens have broken through technological barriers of visible-light optical components. Since conventional optical glass suffers from strong absorption and high scattering in the ultraviolet band, high-quality UV-transparent special materials such as fused silica and calcium fluoride are adopted for all core substrates to ensure high transmittance of ultraviolet light. Meanwhile, professional optical structure design is applied to accurately correct optical aberrations including spherical aberration, chromatic aberration and astigmatism in the ultraviolet band. Some high-end products integrate aspheric optical design and multi-layer UV anti-reflection coating technology, which further reduce optical loss and improve imaging precision. They are capable of submicron high-definition imaging and meet the requirements of high-precision ultraviolet applications.

Collimating barrel lenses mostly adopt a combined design of multiple special optical lenses. They can be matched with substrates including fused silica, optical glass and calcium fluoride according to application bands (visible light, infrared, ultraviolet, etc.).
